What if you don't find any scholarships my child qualifies for?

If we can't build a strong list for your child, you don't pay.

In the rare case we can't find at least 40 clear, relevant scholarships, we'll email you before delivering anything. We'll show you what we did find and you can choose:

- get the smaller list, or
- get a full refund.

Either way, you won't be charged for a list that doesn't feel useful.

Do you write the essays?

Do you submit the applications?

No. Your family submits each application.

We give you the links, rules, and deadlines so you can apply with confidence and stay in control of every submission.

What if my child is already a senior in spring? Are we too late?

You're probably not too late.

Some deadlines will be gone, but many scholarships are still open throughout spring and even into summer. We focus your list on:

- what's still open now, and
- fast-win opportunities your child can realistically apply for in time.

The ideal window is roughly January 1 - April 1, but starting now is better than not starting.

How many lists can I have?

One Scholarship Match Plan covers one student.

If you have two children, that's two separate plans. This keeps each list tightly tailored to one student's profile.

How is this different from a college counselor?

Accepted Answer

College counselors help with many parts of the process: course planning, college list, essays, applications.

We focus only on scholarships.

That narrow focus lets us go deeper on scholarship sources and build a more complete list than most general counselors have time to create.

What about FAFSA?

We strongly recommend you complete the FAFSA if you're eligible. Many grants and need-based scholarships require it.

We don't file FAFSA for you, but we show you where need-based aid fits alongside the scholarships in your plan.

How do you handle our family's information?

We only collect what we need to match scholarships.

- We do not sell your data.
- We use it only to build your child's scholarship list.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What if I'm not happy with the list?

If you don't feel your list is clear, relevant, and worth what you paid, email us within 7 days of delivery. We'll either fix it at no cost or refund you.

Some links just go to a home page or regular page. Is that normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Not every scholarship has a direct application link.

For some scholarships, you may need to:

- Click through to the organization's main site or scholarship page
- Create a free account or student profile
- Call or email the contact listed to get the current application details

When we include a scholarship, it means we've verified it's real and that your child fits the core eligibility rules. The exact "Apply now" link or portal may change, but the scholarship itself is valid and worth pursuing.

Question 11

Some of the results show expired scholarships. Why are those included?

Scholarships open and close on yearly cycles, and not every sponsor updates their information in the same way or at the same time. When a strong scholarship is currently marked as closed or past deadline, we still include it in your report when:

- It has a history of renewing each year, and
- Your child is a strong fit for the eligibility rules

In those cases, we flag it as “expired for this cycle” and note that you should check back or contact the sponsor for the next deadline. This way you see both what your child can apply for right now and what is likely to open again in the next cycle.
